Why choose The Sheetstand® for glass storage?
The Sheetstand is distinguished by its versatile design, making this trestle for glass storage suitable for a variety of sheet materials, including glass, plaster, plywood, MDF and plastic. Although originally designed for finishing projects, the trestle is now also popular with glass installers for storing glass panels. Here are some reasons why The Sheetstand is the best choice for glass plate storage:
1. Strength and Stability: The Sheetstand’s plastic construction offers a strong and stable structure, allowing each set of two storage trestles to support up to 1500 KG. This makes the glass trestles very suitable for the safe storage of heavy glass panes.
2. Moisture resistance: Unlike wooden glass trestles, The Sheetstand is moisture resistant and can therefore be stored outdoors without risk of damage. The trestles are also easy to move thanks to their light weight of 5.5 KG and handle.
3. Space Efficiency: In projects with limited space, The Sheetstand can be paired back-to-back to double the storage capacity without taking up much additional space. For extra-long or heavy glass panels, several trestles can be placed side by side and coupled.
4. Stackability and Transport: The smart design features of The Sheetstand make stacking easy. The trestles can be placed on a pallet and secured securely, allowing up to 40 units to be transported on one pallet.
Safety and Ergonomics
Safety and ergonomics are core aspects of The Sheetstand’s design. The handle and light weight contribute to an ergonomic work posture and reduce strain on the user. Wooden trestles are often not reliable in terms of safety and this can lead to injury and damage. The Sheetstand comes standard with operating and safety instructions; safety add-ons are also available: the heel and coupler provide additional stability.
Sustainability and Environment
In keeping with the trend toward circular and responsible construction, The Sheetstand is made of recycled plastic. This contributes to a more sustainable environment, and discarded trestles can also be recycled, which prevents raw material waste.
